What experts liked
Has several functions that stand out, including speed control when using the self-propelled mode, superior ability to catch grass clippings with its Hi VAC deck, and easy electric start option.

I’m always impressed when a manufacturer clearly prioritizes agility on par with toughness. Get behind the P2185020E for just one pass, and I guarantee you will have no choice but to tip your cap to Snapper’s commitment to this mower’s deceptive maneuverability. It can hit up to 4 mph propelled by its rugged 10-inch rear drive wheels fitted with ball bearings for long-lasting fluid mobility, virtually no damage to your lawn and uncompromised quality cutting every inch of the way.
- Lawn Mower Review
The Snapper’s 190cc Briggs and Stratton engine is a behemoth. This is the strongest engine available on a push mower, and the American made engine will last for years. One user wrote that she first purchased a Snapper mower in 1977, and only replaced the engine twice in thirty nine years. This is a testament to the quality of the engine and mower. If you have tough to cut grass or oftentimes have to cut wet grass then this is the mower for you.

The Snapper P2185020E lawn mower sucks up grass clippings like no other lawn mower. For people that are fond of bagging their grass clippings, this is definitely the best choice they can ever make and this is all due to the HI-VAC deck. This deck features a rolled design and high lift blade which cuts grass with absolute perfection to leave the lawn super clean. With this improved vacuum action, your mower definitely performs better at bagging because the deck creates air in large volumes hence improved suction similar to that of a vacuum. Every user has come to appreciate how admirably this machine cleans up the lawn.

What experts didn't like
Assembly is difficult and instructions are not very clear. It's also the most expensive model we considered, but doesn't offer features much different than models that are priced less.
- BestReviews
Be sure to fill the engine with 18 ounces of oil before the mower’s first use, as it does not ship pre-filled. Also, tilting the mower onto its side for upkeep tends to be a bad idea, as the P2185020E has a habit of spilling its gas past its carburetor and into the engine, where it floods the cylinder and fills the crankcase.
- Lawn Mower Review
The mower is around $200 more than its competitors. As we have discussed with other expensive mowers, if you can afford to buy a high quality mower we recommend it. Especially, if you mow frequently then it makes sense to buy a well crafted machine that will give you years of hassle-free service.

It is very expensive; before you think about getting the Snapper 190cc Hi-Vac Self-Propelled Electric Start Lawn Mower be ready to spend a really good amount of money. Many of the mowers we have seen range between $250 and $550 however the Snapper P2185020E costs $740 which is a really high price.
