Meg Streit, Editor-In-Chief

Meg brings over 15 years of journalism experience to Simplemost Media. She was previously the managing editor of Make It Better and her work has appeared in Kiplinger, Huffington Post, Crain’s Chicago Business, Refinery29 and Jezebel. Juggling a career and two young kids, Meg is passionate about finding the best products, recipes, shortcuts and organizing tips to make life simpler and more fun. In her (very rare) downtime, she enjoys gardening, travel and dining outdoors on the few days a year Chicago weather permits it!

Jenn Fields, Managing Editor

Jenn Fields serves as Simplemost Media’s managing editor from Colorado, where she has worked as a reporter and editor, freelance and on staff at newspapers, for the past 16 years. After earning her master’s from University of Missouri’s journalism school, Jenn began a decade-long career in community journalism, writing and editing for the Boulder Daily Camera and Denver Post. As a freelancer, she has covered a diverse range of topics, from outdoor culture to climate science to religion. She came to Simplemost Media as a freelance editor in 2018 and joined the team full time in 2021.

Taylor Kuether, Editor

Taylor Kuether is a writer, reporter and editor with more than 12 years of editorial experience and bylines in The Washington Post, National Geographic, HuffPost, Los Angeles Times and more. Before joining the Simplemost Media team, she served as a digital director at Discovery, Inc. and social media manager at the National Geographic Society. Based in Chicago, she’s a proud Wisconsin native (go Pack!), avid nonfiction reader and fan of comedy, live music and art exhibits.

Stephanie Magrisso, Digital Marketing Manager

As a graduate of The University Of Cincinnati with years of marketing and editing under her belt, Stephanie deeply believes in our vision to make the most out of life. While managing various stages of production across our brands, she’s honed in on her creativity behind the camera and become a spreadsheet enthusiast. When she’s not navigating life with a preschooler, she’s exploring her passion for travel, food, great wine, music and ALWAYS dancing.

John Matarese, Consumer Reporter

A veteran reporter and two-time Emmy Award winner, John is our Don’t Waste Your Money consumer reporter. Each week he keeps viewers updated on the latest consumer information with Scam Alerts and Product Recalls. And when he finds a service taking advantage of us, he’s not afraid to say “Doesn’t that stink!”John’s goal is to help viewers find good values and avoid bad deals, with his signature line: “Don’t Waste Your Money.”
