What reviewers liked

Inexpensive for a burr grinder
Topped with a large capacity hopper, the grinder fills effortlessly and provides easy access to the burrs (which, by the way, are removable).
Quieter than other types of grinders: Grinders similar to this burr grinder are very noisy. A quieter grinder means no more assaulted eardrums first thing in the morning
High-safety auto stop mechanism
For the KRUPS, the selector allows you to choose from 2 to 12 cups.
It has several strengths. First, it’s versatile, capable of grinding beans for practically any type of coffee drink except Turkish. Also, it’s a well-made machine that should last a long time. Even better, it’s one of the easiest-to-clean grinders we’ve even used.
- Roasty
You get a good choice of fine grind settings
With 9 grind levels for the ideal espresso through to French press, you get versatility and affordability in one neat bundle.
As far as best coffee grinders are concerned, the GX5000 is one of the few machines that offers excellent grinder technology at an extremely competitive price. Definitely worth your time and money.

What reviewers didn't like

but it was notably flimsy, loud, and imprecise. We found the sound of its motor annoying, but not as annoying as how inconsistent the grinds it produced were.
Fine particulates create bitter taste, and a bit of a mess
Can have an inconsistent grind at times: Some settings just don't grind as well as you would want them to. Most settings end up creating some finely ground coffee even if that was not your intent.
Sometimes inconsistent grind
Is a flat grinder bad? Not at all. The GX5000 grinds beans with the best of them. But beyond performance, it might not be the best choice for you if you need the quietest option possible. Additionally, the higher levels of energy consumption do mean it’s technically more expensive to operate in the long run.
- Roasty
The cord doesn’t retract and there’s no storage area in the base
The grind size knob has a tendency to be a bit sticky, so you may need to use some extra force to slide the knob to your preferred setting.
