The main downside to this slicer is that cutting even slices can be difficult, since it requires constant pressure to push food through the blade. Inexperienced users are bound to make plenty of mistakes before they master the exact amount of pressure needed to perform uniform cuts.
The one issue we saw with this unit is that the cutting blade isn’t really flush with the blade housing. If your food being sliced is longer than the blade diameter, then it’s going to hit the housing and cause you problems.
It does not serve the purpose of a heavy duty machine.
