Thanks to its tempered glass lid, you will find this pan to have a much broader use than regular omelet pans. It also enjoys a durable hard-anodized aluminum construction that makes the pan durable and long-lasting.
The material this pan is made of is hard-anodized aluminum which means it has a thicker layer of a natural oxide layer on the surface. What it does is that it makes the surface of the pan non-sticky, scratch resistant and easy to clean. The inner surface being non-sticky is an essential prerequisite for making an omelet with a smooth, glossy texture.
This frying pan from Calphlon is reliable to use. With a cover and hard anodized coating, this frying pan is durable.
For faster cooking, and better cooking convenience, a lid is included with this unit. This lid helps lock flavors in for better flavor absorption. This as well speeds up cooking time as you do not lose any heat in comparison to lidless models. And even better, the lid is see-through, so all guesswork is out of the question.
The pan is made of a hard-anodized aluminum and it heats up very quickly. It’s great for not just eggs but sautéing and frying too.

It can take one or two minutes longer to preheat the pan compared to other pans because of the dual layer and anodized aluminum surface.
