Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

This jacket is incredible for the price. Well made, fits perfectly, all the bells and whistles more expensive jackets have.

It’s easy to see why it’s so popular. Besides being water-repellant and windproof, the sleek coat also boasts a soft fuzzy lining and a heat-retaining polyester shell. The detachable storm hood helps keep you warm, while the jacket’s adjustable cuffs, inner windproof snap skirt, and internal drawcord hem keeps the wind out.
It comes with a high collar, that closes to the front with snap buttons, in order to prevent cold drafts, water or snow from getting inside, therefore working as both a weather-resistant and insulating feature. Behind it, there is a detachable hood, which can be adjusted on both sides with drawstrings. It is a lined hood, that offers plenty of warmth and protection.
Our favorite features are the built-in adjustable cuffs to keep the wind out, the detachable hood with toggles you can use to cinch it down, and the pockets, which are ample (five in total) and perfectly placed. The coat also has a warm, fuzzy lining, a snap skirt to keep the snow from kicking up from the ground into the jacket, and a waterproof, quick-dry exterior that’s breathable thanks to its unique miro-pore structure.
A great budget-friendly pick. It’s got all the specs of more expensive jackets at more than half the price: it's waterproof, windproof, and warm, yet breathable. There are also plenty of tech details that you’ll find on pricier jackets, including an internal drawcord at the hem, a detachable, adjustable hood, and a spot to thread your earbuds through.
I think this is the perfect option for the first time traveler and skier who doesn’t know if they’ll be going back.

What reviewers didn't like

I didn't like how the flaps of the hood stuck out, which made it not stay on with a little breeze.

Some owners who run cold say it isn’t warm enough for them. Finally, detailing around the pockets might peel over time.
