Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

The TV offers a 120Hz effective refresh rate, full-array backlighting and a 200,000:1 contrast ratio. This ensures solid image quality.
It did an excellent job displaying the finest detail. Color accuracy was very good, with images generally looking natural.
The Vizio D Series has ok motion handling. It has a panel with a fast response time, which is good because the TV can handle fast action well without much blur.
Sound is adequate for most owners, with preselects available to improve its quality.

What reviewers didn't like

Full HD only
This Vizio TV has only fair motion performance, with significant blurring on our motion tests. Though this model includes Vizio's "Clear Action", a feature designed to reduce motion blur, we found it was ineffective; the image became too dim and flickery. The visibility of blurring on typical program content is often subtle and may not bother most people, but keen-eyed viewers may detect some loss of texture and detail on scenes with movement.
Some stutter is visible, which is due to the lack of motion interpolation that cannot be removed.
Changing channels “takes forever,” owners report. A few reports of dead pixels.
