What reviewers liked
At 32 inches, this model makes a good second TV for the bedroom. Sold at a low price. Nice to find Roku smart TV features in a budget priced model, as you'll have plenty of apps in an easy-to-use interface. Offers a wide viewing angle.
It has three HDMI ports instead of two and comes with Roku OS built in. This saves you the roughly $40 you’d otherwise have to spend on a streaming stick.
I tested a late build of the feature on the 32-inch S305 and it worked great. The numerous asterisked shows each allowed me to click through and choose another streaming episode to watch immediately.
It's very affordable. Still, it has the same solid performance, great design and offers loads of streaming thanks to its Roku TV core. For that, it easily earns our Editors’ Choice for budget HDTVs.

On the positive side, this TCL TV uses Roku smart platform that really rocks. Currently, it's one of the best Smart TV OSes on the market which doesn't stutter.
The TCL S305 is an all-in-one multimedia solution, with access to a wide range of streaming services, cable channels, and gaming networks.
It comes with a simple and interactive interface that gives you access to over 4000 streaming channels via Roku TV. The interface lets you search channels by title, actor, or director easily.
It connected with the WI-FI within seconds. In addition, mounting it up on the wall took a few minutes.
Surprisingly the TCL 32S305 is also equipped with an 802.11n Wi-Fi meaning you can easily connect it to your home network. This also saves you from the extra hassle and finding long enough cable for it to get it connected to the internet.
The TV is convenient in that you don’t have to switch inputs when wanting to access Internet content and the menu’s and changes between channels are very quick, and it is ideal if you are already a Roku owner from a previous TV and/or want the benefits of having the Roku Channels and GUI easily accessible built right into your TV.

You can mount it on a stand or mounted on a wall. Whichever the method, it is very easy to install.
It has the smart functionality that allows you to access more than four thousand streaming channels, TV episodes via the Roku TV, and 450,000 movies.
What reviewers didn't like
Maximum resolution is only 720p HD. Limited to 60Hz refresh rate.
This 32-inch TCL offers only 720p resolution, which means that it doesn’t support 4K (the larger three sizes in this series go up to 1080p, but that’s still just HD). They also don’t do HDR.
It has no Ethernet port.
It uses a 720p panel instead of a 1080p panels, which is expected for the budget category. Yes, it won’t have the accurate colors of its larger siblings, it does have a lower resolution.
