Auto-shutoff feature for safety and convenience. Heats up quickly. Choose from multiple heat settings. Outer cover is machine washable.
The pad also has an automatic shut-off feature that prevents it from running endlessly and prevents it from overheating.

What reviewers didn't like
Sunbeam claims this pad heats up “three times faster” than other models, but it’s not something we noticed in testing.
Users must read directions carefully, especially if using moist heat.
Smells like hot plastic in the beginning
Non-removable cover – Although it is washable, for some this might be an issue that you can`t just take the cover off and throw it in the machine.
Can’t be sharply folded (though you can mold it gently to wrap around your joints), the cover is not removable.
Some units have failed prematurely, cord can get in the way, highest heat settings could be stronger
