What reviewers liked
It is made from alluminum alloy and stainless steel and can withstand high temperatures and resist corrosion, especially due to its piezo ignition system.
Collapses down to virtually nothing, and it weighs just over half a pound. Of course, you’ll also need to bring along fuel. But the Ultralight is designed to fit atop smaller canisters than the Coleman. Features include electronic spark ignition, adjustable flame, and a platform that will accommodate 4.5 pounds.
Budget-friendly portable camping stove with a piezo-ignition lighter that comes in an economical two-pack — each weighing just 0.6 pounds — that’s perfect for the backpacker who’s trying to lighten their load.
This all-in-1 design folds down to fit into an included carrying case and weights just 0.6 lbs, making it a great choice for ultralight camping and backpacking.
We also like that it offers a solid output over 10,000 BTUs, and comes with surprisingly good simmer control at lower temperatures. As simmer control is an area where cheaper stoves tend to really struggle, it was great to see that you can use this stove for cooking a meal, not just blasting a flame at the water.
What reviewers didn't like
Over time, it can be subjected to jet fueling i.e. a condition that blocks fuel to the burner after threading.
Not compatible with all propane cylinders.
Ignition can be a little tricky. If you open the gas all the way as it can be too forceful for the little flame from the Piezo igniter. The other tradeoff is that the support lets are a little short. We’d love it if they were a bit longer as this would increase stability.
