Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Starting with its weak spots, the design and usability categories are the reason I can't universally recommend the Oster Versa.
-
The VERSA did a mediocre job at mixing the tomato soup, creating a thicker mixture that required us to force it through the sieve. There was also plenty of leftover unblended food in the sieve.
The Oster Versa 1400 series blender system uses – if you hadn’t already guessed from the name – a 1400-Watt motor to buzz and blend through any ingredients you send its way.
The Versa 1400 watt series upgrades with Pre-programmed settings to automatically handle Smoothie, Soup, and Dips/Spreads, and shut-off automatically.
The Oster Versa Performance Blender (BLSTVB-RV0-000) is the best of a new breed of high-powered but more budget-friendly blenders.
Gives you a mid-priced option (below $250) but still have a long 7 year warranty
It might not have the Vitamix’s quality in blending, but it really goes up to that high performance standard. Most reviews from users also give tips that we need to blend any smoothie for a bit longer with the Oster Versa to give a smoother delicate smoothie.
The Versa Performance blender also provides a quick-connection top that lets you place the jar securely on the base without twisting, snapping, or forcing it into place, along with a sturdy base that prevents movement or slipping during operation.

What reviewers didn't like

Managing its many accessories is confusing and tedious, and a lot of the plastic pieces are flimsy.
-
The VERSA is not dishwasher safe, so manual washing is required. This model isn't the easiest to clean by hand, as there are a few sharp edges and hard to reach places on the pitcher that can trap food.
When I first pulled the Versa out of the box, I have to admit I was a little taken aback by just how…well…shamelessly Oster ripped off Tesla with all its design accents.
The biggest caveat though is that this machine is made in China as opposed to a Vitamix that is made in the USA.
It might have a high powered motor and the same design, but don’t expect the it to has the same performance as the Vitamix
