From The Manufacturer

Omega’s Nutrition Centers are “masticating-style” juice extracts and more. A masticating juicer juices at low speeds of 80 RPM minimizing heat build-up and oxidation. The auger system forces produce into a tight chamber, grinding and pressing the food to squeeze out the juice from items as fine as wheatgrass and leafy vegetables. With a Nutrition Center you can also make all-natural nut butters, baby food, soy milk, almond milk and a variety of healthy snacks. Includes 6 nozzles and 2 Juicing screens.

Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

The nice feature of this juicer is that it boasts a larger feed tube than its predecessor, which makes prep a little easier.
Uses a low speed to keep the temperature down during extraction so juice lasts longer. Larger feed chute than similar models helps cut down on prep time. Performs other kitchen tasks, including preparing nut butters and grinding coffee and spices.
Comes with additional attachments for making pasta, nut milk, baby food and soy milk.
The Omega NC800 is a low-speed juicer that is very easy to use and saves precious time. It comes with a large chute and an end-cap that lets you decide the amount of pulp you want in your juice.
One of the highlights of the juicer is that you get a larger feed chute than other Omega products and this will help you spend less time prepping the ingredients for juicing.
It comes with exclusive dual stage masticating extraction system having five adjustable settings for the best juice output.
It can prepare different types of extra food dishes and items with its adjustable two-piece end caps having five settings.
But unlike other masticating juicers, this one utilizes an exclusive dual-stage extraction mechanism. The auger system pushes produce into a small, tight chamber. Inside this chamber, the produce is ground into a pulp, pressed, and squeezed into high-quality juice.
The heavy-duty motor with a stronger single auger is not there for fun. They are there to allow the machine to operate with a wider feed chute that is about 85% bigger than the original design.

What reviewers didn't like

We found that it actually put out 25 percent less carrot juice than the J8004.
Ingredients can get sometimes stuck so you have to alternate soft and hard produce to push softer ingredients through.
It doesn’t juice softer foodstuffs very well with the produce clogging up the juicer sometimes
When compared to a centrifugal juicer a masticating juicer is a lot slower and the pulp content in the juice can be high.
Part replacements are expensive. Does not extract juices from leafy greens well.
The juicer is a little bit expensive.
You can make soy milk and nut milk with this machine but it is not optimal for that use. The result is less than ideal.
