Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Sun Touch Plus is not a “task lamp” shape, but more of a very simple box. It’s convenient and simple enough to adjust
It emits 10,000 lux-light and negative ion therapy that will help you feel rested and refreshed.
Recommended by the New York State Psychiatry Institute and the Columbia Department of Psychiatry
This unit has a built-in timer, allowing you to choose your session length and then simply relax. At just 13-inches tall and 9-inches wide, the unit is also exceptionally compact and discreet, making this model ideal for the home or office.
This light therapy lamp is a solid choice. It does exactly what is says. It provides up to 10,000 lux. It has a basic square design and is easy to use.
Anyone looking for the best therapy lamp to alleviate pain, stress and SAD disorders will love every bit of this lamp. The lamp is convenient and easy to use.
Can alleviate symptoms of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)
Negative ion therapy is an advantage – the ion therapy unit cleans the air and produces a calming effect
The Sun Touch manages to achieve something that few other SAD lights do – the light gives off the full 10,000 lux, but appears quite subtle.
The light is durable and portable weighing only 6 pounds (or 3 kilograms) in weight. Thus, it is easy to carry around the house if you need to change your sleeping location or just need it for some guest show and tell.
You do not need to worry about cleaning since there is no filter or rod to think about unlike other products in the market with the same features.
Powerful yet gentle light therapy
This specific light is also good for those who want to take advantage of negative ion therapy. The NatureBright SunTouch fills the room with negative ions, which helps us to feel more clear and energetic.

What reviewers didn't like

There are some reports of other electrical issues, such as faulty switches or bad power supplies.
However, this product is not suitable for people with Bipolar disorder. Also, rarely, some users have reported eye strain and agitation.
Users have to spend time sitting in front of the screen to get the benefits
The SunTouch’s plastic build certainly isn’t the most awe-inspiring design
However, its bulky design is not very versatile and is best used in the home.
The bulb lifetime is not the best.
Cheap plastic design
The small amount of ozone emitted from the ion therapy unit may cause harm to your throat or lungs, but using the unit is not mandatory as it is on a separate switch
One of the main downsides about the Sun Touch Plus is that whilst it does appear reasonably priced (and it is) there is a hidden cost – the cost of the bulbs.
However, there are others who say the smell of the ionizer is not as pleasant as they would have liked, so they prefer to leave it turned off during phototherapy.
Ionizer can produce a smell that some do not like
There was just one reviewer who was disappointed with the construction of the lamp.
Difficult to sit down for 20-30 minutes a day when you have kids, so it’s hit or miss for me.
