The steel pole is 3 pieces and made to withstand some of the harshest conditions. This hoop can be used indoors or outdoors.
Another thing we love about this hoops is that it’s highly adjustable. It features a telescopic pole which enables you to effortlessly adjust its height from as low as 7.5 feet to as high as 10 feet (in a total of 6-inch increments).
We also like the relatively large 27 gallon base that is featured on the Lifetime 1269. Most portable hoops in this price range do not have this large of a base.
The base is made of a high durable material. It can be filled with either water or sand. The Lifetime 1269 Pro Court Portable Basketball System with 44″ Acrylic Fusion Backboard is very portable just simply roll the hoop to where you would like it to be located.
The Lifetime Portable Basketball system features a 44” inch fusion backboard-made with high density Polyethylene this clear back board provides good performance and an authentic look.
Good news is that the assembly is relatively easy and takes about 1-1.5 hour, no drilling or special tools are required. You can even manage it alone, but some steps are much easier in 2 people.
The biggest advantage that comes with the Lifetime 1269 is the fact that it is cheap. It is an affordable piece of equipment that anyone could have in case they want to change things up a bit and have some fun with a basketball.
What reviewers didn't like
Now, with a hoop this low cost there are going to be some weaknesses. The backboard is small at 44 inches and is made from a type of polycarbonate material. Polycarbonate is the lowest quality backboard material and while durable does not perform well during play.
Need two people to assemble, poles adjustable height can slip, exposed bolts can lead to early erosion.
The instructions on the instruction manual is not completely clear to many people, so I suggest look at the diagram or go through some instructional video to get a more clear picture of the assembling stage.
The pole and backboard wobble and bend back when hit, the rim is fine but not designed for hanging up – so take dunking easy.
The backboard is very fragile and can be easily deteriorated by hitting it harder with the basketball.
