An innovative flexible accordion inlay is made of coated heavy-bond paper, and holds knives at the bolster to separate blades and keep them safe from damage. It easily pops out for hand washing or a run through the dishwasher, and conveniently allows the body to be quickly washed as well.

What reviewers didn't like

Small knives may not fit well.
You cannot store cleaver or occasional bread knives in this knife block. Some users have mentioned that smaller knives may not stay too well in the slots.
Complaints are few, but there are a couple of common themes. The first is that smaller knives don’t sit true, and they tend to tilt or lean when placed in the holder. The second regards the components being somewhat lightweight. A few owners have reported that larger blades have pulled the accordion holder out of the block, some say it’s awkward to remove knives, and a couple more report that it tips over too easily.

Small knives may not fit well
The flexible inlay is not as heavy duty as expected and if this block does get knocked over, there is a risk of the plastic cracking. Although the inlay holds larger knives in place well; smaller knives can slide about as there is not enough tension in the inlay to hold them in place straight.
