The wheels are sturdy, the board is real wood, the board ends lip up so she can begin to learn her foot placement so we are happy with it.

What reviewers didn't like

Utter garbage bought this for my 10 yr old daughter. Cheap bearings, plastic trucks, cheap wheels. Deck is decent but the trucks and bearings are utter garbage. Flimsy and bolts weren't even tight, but if you do try to tighten them they don't roll worth a crap.
