Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Effective. As the name suggests, a whey protein powder with no carbohydrates.
Isopure has really come up with a remarkable protein that’s jam packed with vitamins and minerals and can fit into just about any diet. For a whey isolate, that’s inexpensive, and the more you order the cheaper it gets: if you get a big 7.5lb tub it drops to about 3.5 cents a scoop. This is a big upside of the fact that Isopure is part of such a big company: it’s inexpensive, particularly given all the extra vitamins and minerals.
Isopure not only mixes well with water and cold liquids it also mixes well with warm or hot items. This is almost unheard of in the world of protein powders. Once mixed it will be smooth and free of chunks. You will find it easy to swallow and overall it has a great mouthfeel.

Each serving contains just 100 calories, so you can mix it with water or in a smoothie and you’ll still have a low-cal snack or meal replacement. The creamy vanilla flavor tastes great and mixes well with anything, while flavors like cookies and cream or mint chocolate chip will satisfy your sweet tooth if you have a craving.
There are no carbs in it. Helps with muscle regeneration. 100% recommended to lactose-intolerant people. It has vitamins and minerals. Its preparation is simple. It has glutamine, which helps the muscle to a fast recovery. It has a quick absorption.
Isopure Zero Carb contains 50 grams of protein in every serving! That’s twice the standard amount! This product also contains only 10 mg of cholesterol, which is one of the lowest I have seen! Almost no fat.
Isopure was the first protein powder to have 50 grams of 100% pure ion exchange whey protein isolate. It gets absorbed quicker and refuels and repairs tired muscles in an instant. All with little to no lactose, preservatives, fat, calories or carbs. Isopure’s whey protein isolate has a wide variety of flavors that are low carb including: Creamy Vanilla, Cookies & Cream, Toasted Coconut (Low Carb), Mint Chocolate Chip, Espresso, Strawberries & Cream, Dutch Chocolate (Low Carb), and many more.
50 grams of protein per serving (this is one of the highest on the market). It has many flavor options. Overall, it is a fine tasting protein powder. Many customers love it. It has no carbs. It has among the very highest protein amounts per serving of any protein powder on the market today.

What reviewers didn't like

Doesn't taste as good as other brands.
There’s no zero carb chocolate. Some artificial ingredients and the unusual flavor profile. Made in a facility with soy, egg, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts. Not that tasty.
Some flavors synthetic tasting. SOme flavors leave chalky feel.
-
According to some, the vanilla flavor is too sweet. With excess use, kidney stones can be developed. Dehydration can occur if you don’t drink enough water. You need to have a regular workout routine or you may gain weight.
It contains a rather high sodium count, which can potentially cause fat gain, and it uses whey protein isolate instead of the far superior: whey protein hydrolysate. I would personally not take Isopure Zero Carb.
One distinguishing factor of the Nature’s Best company is that they do not have NSF Certified for Sport registered GMP certification. This is highly desirable and an indicator of high product quality, but they do not have this certification.”GMP” stands for “good manufacturing practices” and is sometimes is represented as “cGMP” or “current good manufacturing practices.”
