Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Made of 316 stainless steel, it’s compact enough that you can easily take with you to the brew shed, garage, or secret underground laboratory. Also, you can’t beat the price on this stir plate!
Neat machine that won’t take up a lot of room on your worktop. Impressive maximum speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. The stainless steel plate looks smart and is easy to keep clean.
The INTLLAB is a compact little magnetic stir plate with no frills but still gets the job done right every time. The device has a maximum capacity of 0.8 gallons so it is good for making small batches and the perfect entry-level option for the budding homebrewer.
One of the most affordable of the available stir plates on the market. Quiet motor with high RPMs. Wide range of speed control.

What reviewers didn't like

As wonderfully simple and affordable as it is, folks have complained that it feels cheap and doesn’t provide a reliable, consistent stir. Some have complained that the magnet stirrer is a bit weak and doesn’t catch through thicker glass or jars.
The smooth plate and relatively small surface mean this won’t be the right choice for stirring larger vessels. The magnet strength seems to vary between individual stir plates.
No actual on/off switch. Power cord should be longer.
