What reviewers liked

Another useful highlight is the temperature control setting. This feature makes use of an integrated thermostat to let you indicate an exact temperature for the room.
The Honeywell HY-280, which performed solidly and had impressive oscillation, counters those strengths with an unbalanced design an active dog wouldn’t have any trouble knocking over.
Its lightweight makes it quite convenient to carry it from one corner of your house to other according to your requirements. It will blend in quite well with the office environment due to its color variants and simple sleek design.
The 8 speed cooling options is one of the features you can only find in Honeywell fans. Their innovative team of technicians designed tower fan with multiple speeds to give the customer a wide choice.
The 8 speeds you have to choose from are: sleep, whisper, calm, white noise, relax, refresh, cool, and power cool.

What reviewers didn't like

A noteworthy downside of the HY-280 model is that there is no previous setting memory on the Honeywell. This means if you turn the tower fan off, all settings are gone from the memory. You need to set the settings again yourself.
This fan produces loud noise when you are using its temperature setting option. Otherwise, you can’t notice the noise in normal speed mode.
Remote operation distance is short
One thing a number of customers have complained about is the brightness of the control panel at nights. This is not uncommon to this tower fan however. This makes things hard to sleep at night when the light brightens up the room.
