What reviewers liked

Dozens of owners claim that the AltiMAX handles the best of any tire they've ever mounted on a vehicle and swear by it.
The General AltiMAX car tires are smooth and solid. They have given me excellent tread wear, good handling and are very resistant to hydroplaning during heavy rain. With a tread life warranty of six years or 70,000 miles, you are assured of longtime service.
This has very good marks in nearly all tests.
General RT43 is an impressively long-lasting and safe tire for cars, SUVS and trucks. As an all-season tire, they performs great in all conditions, handles tightly and brakes sharply.
In wet conditions the tires perform very well, almost like driving in dry conditions. The tires did not slip or hydroplane even when driven hard around the track. The tires also provided a nice cushion feel when encountering small bumps and imperfections in the road.

What reviewers didn't like

The warranty is slightly less than that of the Continental.
No shortcomings. Average scores for wet braking and ride comfort are typical among all-season tires.
The performance in icy conditions is still a bit iffy.
Snow and Ice traction is ok (this is to be expected from an all season tire).
