The Bowflex Xceed Home Gym is a piece of workout equipment that allows you to use resistance training to build muscle.
Unlike the traditional exercise machines that use heavy weights as the primary resistance to overcome, the Bowflex Xceed uses Power Rods which are bendable rods that take a certain amount of force to move. With these rods as its primary form of resistance, the Bowflex Xceed is much lighter and easier to move or haul.
There is a pull-down bar that lets you pull from above your head, allowing you to exercise many of your back muscles. You can reach this bar from a seated position, where you will find a padded set of shin-guards that allow you to hook your feet and prevent your body from being pulled up while you are doing pull-downs.
The pull-down bar has angled grips at the ends that allow you to use a grip that is healthy for your shoulders. There is ample room in the center of the bar to perform underhand or reverse grip pull-downs.
From the same seated position, you can perform leg extensions to work your upper legs by using the same padded leg attachment.
The versatility of where the hand-holds can be placed also allows you to do bicep and shoulder exercises, ranging from simple curls to front and side deltoid raises.
A strap is included that allows you to perform ab exercises like crunches while having the resistance of the Power Rods to really fire up the exercise.
