Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Apart from 80 types of effects, the ME-80’s compact, the streamlined design certainly sets it apart from some of the other pedals on the market. This battery-powered processor has a stylish knob-based interface that allows you to control the sound with great ease. It has the latest footswitches that offer increased control as far as patch selection and sound-shaping are concerned.
Good value for money. There's a wealth of useful features. Minimal menu browsing!
Super portable. Tons of sounds. Easy to use. Nice sounding delays and modulation effects.
Great value and sound. Gig-ready out of the box. Intuitive effects. Boss Tone Studio to connect to pc. Internet access to download free patches from Boss Central Library. Battery-powered.
The BOSS ME-80 absolutely delivers as a one-stop solution into the clean amp of your choice. It sounds massive through my BOSS Katana 50 and maybe even better through a clean valve amp. It can’t compete with the best in class with regards to individual sounds, but as a configurable, intuitive and robust gigging tool/solution, I believe it is without equal.

What reviewers didn't like

If you mean to use the Boss ME-80 for prolonged periods, you may have to purchase a power-cord separately.
Very little.
Some effects and high-gain distortions have a digital edge.
AC Power supply adapter not included. Proper pedal still needed to play heavier stuff.
