The Air Ram is ultra-light and easy to use weighing less than 1 pound in use, and with swivel steering and a lay flat handle, it maneuvers under and around furniture with ease.

The Bissell AirRam 1984 rated excellent overall. This quiet, self-standing machine excelled in our carpet, bare floor, and pet hair tests, and performed well in our edge cleaning and emissions tests. It has an average sized dirt bin that is easy to empty and replace and has a lever that helps push the debris from the bin. The 22-volt Lithium ion battery can be easily removed for replacement and the telescoping handle can be pushed down for storage with the press of a button. The large power button is located on the powerhead and can be pushed by foot.

A unique feature to this upright vacuum is the handle's ability to lay flat on the ground, allowing easy vacuuming under furniture and tough-to-reach places.
What reviewers didn't like
Main complaints were the build quality and the filter – how long it takes to dry and the replacement part that is not yet available for sale.
Bissell AirRam is a little bit pricey.
Small dust bin is not good for large homes.
There is no brush roll on/off switch. In order for the brush roll to be turned off, it must be removed from the machine with a simple release button. The machine does not convert into a detachable hand vac and doesn't come with extra tools. The large power head, although able to swivel, is not as easily maneuverable as other models and it may be difficult to navigate around objects.

Our only qualm was when we pulled the vacuum backwards, there was a light drag because it's self-propelled and required some effort.
