What experts liked
Bag Nation’s all-purpose diaper bag backpack is one that moms and dads alike will be comfortable—literally—carrying, thanks to its ergonomically curved and padded shoulder straps and padded back panel with breathable mesh.
- Verywell Family
With 14 multi-sized pockets, there’s a special place for each piece of baby gear you’re bringing along.Multiple pockets will keep everything organized.
- Mom Loves Best
Lightweight, with ergonomically designed padded shoulder straps for comfort during long walks, hikes, or shopping.
- Temper and Tantrum
One thing we were really surprised by is how deceptive the main compartment is: you think it's going to be small but then you open it up and realize it's actually really big. Big enough that we could fit in: The Spectra S2 breast pump and accessories, diaper rash ointment, the changing pad (it's included), burp cloths, disposable diapers (or cloth diapers), and an extra change of clothes. And there was still room to spare. We really liked how large and versatile this backpack diaper bag was in our testing.
- Mommy Hood 101
Lifetime warranty is very important, too, you do not have to be worried in case you are not satisfied with the product.
- Product Reviews

The Bag Nation diaper bag has both padded straps as well as a padded back area, making the bag super comfy to carry around. We found that the material was breathable as well and didn’t make our backs sweat too much our day trips out and about.

Extremely durable, far more than some products from this price range.
- Toodrie
This backpack diaper bag comes with a large durable changing mat or pad which is necessary for easily and neatly changing your baby's diapers. The changing mat is large enough so you can change your baby's diapers conveniently and can also accommodate your bag and probably other items during the process.

This bag is suuuper popular and one of the best selling backpack diaper bags on Amazon. It’s functional, roomy, and has a place for everything. You could probably carry your entire house in this backpack, and it doesn’t look as bulky as you’d expect(though it does carry some bulk).
- Adventure Baby
The finishing of the bag is top notch and so it will last for a very long time.
- Goes Like That
The shoulder pads are padded to ensure your comfort and you can hang the backpack easily on the stroller. Even the back is padded and features a breathable mesh so you’re comfortable carrying the backpack wherever you go.
- The Alpha Parent
The thick padded curved straps fit well against your body and make this bag comfortable to carry regardless of how much you put in. And trust us, you can pack this bag with a ton.
- Mom Dot
It is versatile and durable that you can still use it even if your kid is already a toddler or even older.
- My Little Kiddy
So easy to use you might give it a name as it becomes your new best friend.
- Hot Mama Travel
This diaper bag makes it convenient by having different pockets located on the outside of the bag and on the inside. There is a spot for literally everything you can think of along with a thick changing pad and extra zipper bag that can be used as a wallet or cosmetic bag.
- A Break 4 Mommy
There’s plenty of space and lots of handy compartments, so you’ll have no difficulty in finding a place for all the essentials you need whether you’re out with your twins for an hour or for a whole day. It's a mom's life rated this bag her top choice on her youtube channel and we understand why.
- Best Backpack Lab
There is no internal organization on this one and the zippers are very smooth and this is a really nice wipeable fabric.
- Good Buy Dad
The zippers used for its construction are vigorous and superior.
- Baby Heed
We also love the other side pocket placed outside. This insulated bottle pocket is not just designed for holding one bottle; it is large enough to fit several bottles. This bottle pocket has zippers, so your bottles are safe and can’t fall accidentally.
- Cute Little Darling
The bag wears well and is designed to last thanks to its lightweight, durable, BPA-free, water-resistant twill polyester material. (Plus, if something does break, there’s a lifetime warranty.)
- Mamabee
What experts didn't like
A bit expensive than other brands.
- Mom Loves Best
When placing the bag on the floor or ground, it falls over rather than stand up, making is difficult to access the contents of the bag.
- Temper and Tantrum
Only a couple of small drawbacks. First, there have been reports of quality control issues with this bag. We didn't have any issues, but some moms report ripping near zippers, or the insulated pocket coming apart at the seams.
- Mommy Hood 101
Some would prefer it to hold a larger capacity.
- Product Reviews
There is room to improve on the quality.
- Trustorereview
The price of this backpack is a little high.
- Womens Edge
Some parents complain about the pocket for baby bottles is too small to fit most bottles.
- Born Cute
Bag could be too big if you travel light or have a short day out.
- Kid Savers Network
The bag sometimes falls over and won’t stand up on its own.
- Best Mom Products
It would be nice if it had an extra insulated bottle pocket.
- Toodrie
It’s not machine washable.
- The Baby Swag
There have been several reports of quality control issues with straps breaking or material fraying.
- Baby Gear Lab
Has no multiple color options.
- Little One Mag
No stroller straps present.
- Bravo Baby Gears
It’s not the best looking bag on the market. It’s functional and it looks like it.
- Adventure Baby
The bag is slightly smaller than what is advertised.
- Goes Like That
However, it doesn’t seem to be able to stand on its own most of the time. The changing mat is a bit on the thin side.
- The Alpha Parent
Won’t stand up when you place it down which means searching and digging isn’t quite as easy.
- Mom Dot
It is big and bulky compared to other brands.
- My Little Kiddy
Less stylish or cute design, but dad will probably like that.
- Hot Mama Travel
High price tag.
- Best Backpack Lab
Get ripped easily if not cared.
- Baby Heed
Because this backpack is roomy, expect it to be bulkier compared to the other backpacks that we reviewed.
- Cute Little Darling

An Overview On Baby Diaper Backpacks

Getting ready for baby’s arrival is not as straight forward as some might think it is. There are different size diapers to stock up on and a million different types of bottles that can confuse even a seasoned parent. One thing you really want to make sure you check off your must-haves list is a baby diaper bag. To make it more appealing for both mom and dad, some couples prefer to find a baby diaper backpack rather than a diaper bag that tend to be more feminine. To help narrow down the choices, there are a list of a few top-notch baby diaper backpacks for you to check out.

You might be wondering about the difference between a diaper bag and diaper backpack. Typically the style and placement of the straps is the only difference between the two. The diaper bag usually has either two handles to carry it in-hand, or a long strap that can go crossbody or over your shoulder. The diaper backpack is just as it sounds, designed with two straps off the back so you can carry it on your back. One is not necessarily better than the other, it is more a choice of personal preference and usage.

When you are looking for a two-in-one design for both baby items and your items, take a look at the Ruvalino Multifunction Travel Back Pack. The interior features a changing pad, a padded pocket for your laptop, insulated pockets for baby bottles, mesh organizing pockets for teethers and keys and a fold-down front pocket with two sleeves, one for diapers and one for wipes. You will find everything neatly organized in this diaper backpack for both of you.

The HaloVa Diaper Backpack is quite a versatile piece as well. With a wide mouth opening at the top you can fit bigger baby outfits and items as baby grows. The two handles at the top give you the option of hand-carrying it or if you still prefer on your back, the backstraps are sturdy and durable as well. You will find excellently insulated bottle pockets in the front compartment of the backpack and water-resistant fabric for any accidental spills or leaks. The style is very classy, so it is suitable for almost any occasion.

Find a durable and easy-to-clean baby diaper backpack in the Pipi bear Diaper Travel Backpack. Included with the bag is a changing pad that folds up neatly and exterior side pockets to keep your cell phone and keys for easy access. The interior pocket has a wide-mouth opening and a strong zipper closure. The front pocket features two bottle sleeves and two utensil sleeves for all stages of traveling with baby. In addition, a zipper on the back of the bag opens to a mesh window so you can see what you have packed in the very depths of the backpack.

Most dads don’t mind carrying around a diaper bag, even if it is a bit feminine, but the KeaBabies Backpack Diaper Bag is one that won’t make them dread it. This backpack comes complete with a matching changing pad and features a wide-mouth opening for the ultimate packing abilities. The zippers are heavy duty and there are straps both along the top and on the back. This is a great baby backpack for traveling.

DYWM Fun Fact

Who invented diapers anyway? There is not much factually evidence on this matter but it is traced back to mothers during the World War II time period who encountered cotton shortages that left their babies unclothed. Several years later in 1950, Marion Donovan invented the disposable diaper using the lining of a shower curtain and layered tissues in combination.

Diapers take forever to decompose and are a huge environmental hazard in landfills. It takes so long for a diaper to decompose that no one has been alive long enough to actually witness one decompose entirely.

The inside of modern-day disposable diapers consists of sodium polyacrylate. This is the absorbent matter inside the diaper. There are many other suggested uses for this substance including soaking up leaks in your sink before it can be fixed and preventing floodwaters from entering your home when placed at the thresholds of your doors. People have even used them as ice packs.

Cloth diapers are the way to keep the environment healthy. They use 2.3 times less water to make than disposable diapers and they don’t take up much room in landfills since they are made mostly of cotton or bamboo. Cloth diapering is also great for sensitive babies and budget-minded parents.

Cloth diapering has evolved vastly since 2000 with the release of Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers. They were followed quickly by Happy Heinyz and after not too long, there were quite a few cloth diapering products on the market. The brand gDiapers were the first hybrid diapers that used both disposable inserts as well as cloth inserts, making traveling with a baby a little easier and more sanitary. Now there are countless cloth diaper brands on the market.

The Baby Diaper Backpack Buying Guide

  • Be sure when you shop for a baby diaper backpack that you find one with a good warranty. Most have a warranty, but some are longer than others and you really want that extended warranty.
  • Keep in mind your needs. If you are flying solo with baby, it is best to get one with both top handles and back straps for easy and convenient handling.
  • You don’t have to compromise on style when buying a baby diaper backpack. Find the color you want and coordinate with baby’s other gear.
  • Always get one with a changing pad. You never know where you’ll be when you are traveling with your baby when it soils its diaper. You don’t want to be changing your baby on unsanitary surfaces.
  • Bottle sleeves in the bag are also a huge help for keeping the contents of the backpack neat and organized. Even if you don’t bottle feed, you’ll find this feature helpful when the baby grows into sippy cups.
  • Exterior pockets are always helpful for keeping small items like teethers, cell phones and keys handy and within reach.
