Company is hiring people to watch shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime

If you’d rather stay home all day watching your favorite shows instead of going to work (and who wouldn’t?!), there’s an opportunity you don’t want to pass up.

Writing platform EduBirdie is looking to hire people to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime TV to see which series motivates them to study the most. They’re looking for “Smart Watchers,” or people who are willing to try different popular series and share which ones made them remember things and perceive information better.

EduBirdie will provide the watchers with a one-month subscription to Netflix and Amazon Prime and $1,000. Each watcher will have to watch at least three episodes of the 10 chosen TV series (for a total of 30 episodes minimum).

After watching each series, the watcher will have to fill out a questionnaire and tell how generally inspired and motivated they feel. The watchers will also be asked to complete a short online test to show how well they can remember and perceive new information after each series.

The position is open to anyone age 21 and older that considers themselves a “student at heart.” You do not have to be enrolled as a student anywhere — you just have to be willing to learn new things. You should also consider yourself a “TV series and binge-watching expert” and it helps if you can’t imagine your life without Netflix.

To apply, just fill out this form or contact EduBirdie at job@edubirdie.com. If emailing, use “Smart Watcher” as a subject and include a short letter telling them about yourself and explaining why you think you’re the best fit for the position. You have until midnight Pacific time on Aug. 6 to apply.

If chosen, you are free to choose five TV series from Netflix or Amazon Prime on your own. The other five will be chosen by EduBirdie based on the most popular TV shows in general and in July 2021 specifically, along with your genre preferences. Series your might be watching may include but are not limited to:

  • Stranger Things
  • Atypical
  • Sex/Life
  • Ozark
  • Virgin River
  • Manifest
  • The Witcher
  • The Umbrella Academy
  • The Crown
  • Fleabag
  • Undone
  • The Underground Railroad
  • The Boys

Do you think you would make a great “Smart Watcher” for EduBirdie?
