If your Easter weekend plans include getting outside to enjoy some nature, your holiday weekend is about to get even better.

On Saturday, April 20, admission to more than 100 national parks across the country is completely free. There is no promo code or coupon, you can just head right to your favorite participating park and you won’t have to pay for admission.

Of course, you’ll have to live near one of the participating national parks or be traveling for the holiday to take advantage of the deal. But if you will be near one, it is a great chance to explore a park that normally charges an entrance fee, including iconic American attractions like Yellowstone National Park or Grand Canyon National Park.

While not all states have a park on the list, you’ll find at least one participating park in most states, with some states having more than a dozen. Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are also participating, if you happen to be spending Easter there.

April 20 kicks off the start of National Park Week. Through April 28, parks across the country will host a variety of special programs and events and you’ll find special days during the week that highlight different ways you can enjoy the national parks. Some days include Wild Wednesday on April 24, where you can explore the wildlife in the parks, and Friendship Friday on April 26, where you can learn how different groups are involved in protecting the parks.

If you can’t make it to a National Park on April 20, you have three more chances for free days this year: Aug. 25 (National Park Service Anniversary), Sept. 28 (National Public Lands Day) and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day).

Do you live near or national park or have a favorite that you’ll be visiting on April 20 or during National Park Week?
