You Can Get A Rare $35 Off Coupon When You Sign Up For Target’s REDcard Credit Card

If you’re a Target shopper and have been considering applying for a Target REDcard, now is a great time to take the plunge.

Through June 15, once approved, you’ll get a coupon valid for $35 off a qualifying purchase of $70 or more. The deal includes both credit and debit cards and works if you sign up in-store or online.

The coupon will be mailed to you with your new REDcard and you can use it on eligible items through July 20. There are restrictions on the coupon; it excludes items such as gift cards, select baby products and some electronics like Samsung TVs, Apple products and Xbox hardware.

A $35 gift card isn’t the only thing you’ll get by applying for a Target REDcard. There are tons of other perks as well, like saving 5% on everything when you use your card, free two-day shipping on most items from (with no minimum purchase) and extended returns.

You’ll also get 15% off and free shipping on select diapers, wipes and formula subscriptions and exclusive extras like special items and offers, a 10% off coupon on your REDcard anniversary each year and early access to special events, products and promotions.

The special offers Target was offering REDcard holders at the time of publication (good through Saturday, May 25) included buy-two-get-one-free books, 10% off Lodge cookware, 10% off select tees, tanks and shorts and even an exclusive Funko POP! “Star Wars” red chrome Darth Vader that only REDcard holders can purchase.

The Target REDcard credit card allows you to use it for payment and pay the card off later on. However, you can sign up for a REDcard debit card instead and get all of the same perks, but with no credit check. Because the debit card immediately draws funds from your existing checking account, you can also use it to withdraw up to $40 cash when you check out at the store. Just remember, since it isn’t a credit card, you can’t use the REDcard debit option to carry a balance at Target.

Neither of these cards has an annual fee. Both can only be used in Target stores and the services/restaurants within.

Will you be applying for a Target REDcard and getting your $35 coupon? If so, you’ve still got a few weeks  — but don’t wait too long!
