Getting free food is great — and having to do pretty much nothing to get that free food is even better!

Now at Sonic Drive-In, you can get a free cheeseburger just by using Apple Pay for your order. It’s literally as simple as that!

To get the deal, just order ahead on the Sonic app anytime through May 22 and be sure to use Apple Pay for the exchange. Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll get a reward of a free single-patty cheeseburger. The reward will be applied to your Sonic app account within two days and you can use it on your next order-ahead purchase.

The reward will expire two weeks after you get it, so make sure you use it fairly quickly. If you don’t have the Sonic app, just download it and create a free account. Of course, this deal only works if you have Apple Pay, so Android phone users are pretty much out of luck.

Once  you create an account on the app, you’ll also get other rewards from time to time — like a free soft drink or half-priced ice cream. You’ll also get a free small classic shake on your birthday. Plus, you’ll receive half-off drinks and slushies every time you use the app, which basically means any time of day can be Happy Hour at Sonic!

As you’re placing your order for that free burger, you might want to take a close look at the menu to see what else to get. Sonic has a ton of sides like pretzel twists, tater tots, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. If you’re looking for a cool drink, the fast-food chain is even selling Red Bull Slushes right now!

While you’re there, you might also want to see if your location is selling ice. Yes, ice! Many Sonics sell 10-pound bags of its popular “pebble ice” for around $2! Use it to chill wine or make smoothies and cocktails.
