One brave man went where no person was willing to go. Carter Wilkerson took to Twitter to ask Wendy’s how many retweets it would take for him to win a year’s supply of chicken nuggets. Bold move, Wilkerson, bold move.
Wendy’s response? To them, a year of free chicken nuggets is worth 18 million retweets. While that may not be a totally impossible number to obtain, it’s not going to be as easy as it sounds.
You see, that picture from the Oscars—you know, the selfie with Ellen DeGeneres and a slew of other celebrities—well, even it only has a little over 3 million retweets to date. So, yeah, it’s safe to say that Wilkerson is going to need a little help to meet his goal of free nuggets.

Wendy’s tweeted their response on April 5, and since then, Wilkerson has garnered 2.5 million retweets. He still has a ways to go, and he’s going to need your help to meet the 18 million mark. So, go ahead and give this tweet a retweet. Because really, nuggets are no joking matter.
So, internet, let’s all come together and make this happen for Wilkerson. Maybe what the world needs right now is a shared goal we can all get behind. And if we can’t all have 365 days of free nuggets, at least one man should, right?
To help get to the 18 million mark, Wilkerson could retweet his own tweet, but that would take quite a while to do on his own—208 days to be exact!
It costs $5.99 for a 10-piece nugget combo, so buying those on his own every day would set Wilkerson back a little less than $2,200. We’re thinking there might be easier ways to raise that amount of money than to get 18 million retweets, but, hey, we’re still pulling for you, buddy!
