If you’re looking for something fun to do with your kids this month, consider putting this Target event on your calendar.
It’s a free Hatchimals scavenger hunt that’s being hosted at participating Targets all over the country on Saturday, March 24.
If your kids’ spring break is this month, you might be hearing a lot of “I’m bored.” This is the perfect excuse to get out of the house–and maybe do a little shopping in the meantime.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and it’s completely free! Entertainment for the kids that doesn’t cost a penny? Count us in!
Your kids will get to pick up a basket, decorate it at Target’s craft table, then hunt for Hatchimals CollEGGtibles and treats, according to the event description on the Target website.
You can find a participating store by visiting the Target website.
Add To Your Calendar: Home Depot Workshop
You should also mark your calendar for April 7, which is when Home Depot is having its next free workshop for kids!
Home Depot is here to help keep little hands and minds busy with a free do-it-yourself birdhouse workshop on April 7. Young birdwatchers or nature lovers can build their very own wooden birdhouse to hang outside and watch birds build nests and hatch their eggs.
As is always the case with its free kids workshops, Home Depot provides all the materials and tools needed to build the birdhouse.
Once complete, it can be decorated with paint and stickers to make each one unique! The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon at stores across the country and you can register online now.
National Parks Free Admission Days
If your family love to explore the outdoors, you’ll also want to add April 21 to your calendar.
That date marks the start of National Parks Week, which celebrates our nation’s beautiful national parks located all over the country.
You can get in to any national park for free on April 21, which is awesome if you are on a budget!
April 21 is a Saturday, too, so it’s the perfect outing for the entire family. Just be sure to get to your chosen national park early, as there will likely be big crowds and long lines for admission.
After the April free date, the next free admission days are Sept. 22 (National Public Lands Day) and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day).
