What experts liked

The YI Home Camera 1080p delivers high definition videos of your home, so you can view every moment in even clearer quality.
The name “Yi” itself stands for the quality. It has got a lot of helpful features like feed sharing, sound detection, baby cry monitor and many more. With 1080p/15fps video recordings, enhanced night vision, instant activity alerts, robust encryption, Apple and Android app support, and local and cloud storage support, Yi 1080p home security camera is really the best in the list that you can buy.
The thing we love best about Yi is that multiple people can use multiple cameras under 1 account. This is a very convenient way for everyone in your family to be able to keep an eye on a pet, check who’s at the front door, or watch for a crying baby at night. You could also use this camera to keep an eye on an expensive toy like a boat or trailer that’s in a storage facility.
Without any strain to your eyes observing the footage or having to install more than one camera since it has a nice 110-degree wide angle lens. It produces crisp, bright images, even at night thanks to the advanced IR Night Vision.
It has one important feature you would never expect: a sale price of just $30.99. This is definitely a sell-out risk now that the cat’s out of the bag

As the infrared is turned on in an automated manner in the low light conditions, you will be able to see in the dark clearly. The Baby Crying Motion Detection features make use of state of the art technology for the detection and sending of notifications to the phone.

The YI Home Camera includes special technology that detects a baby’s crying and sends you a smartphone alert. Plus, it boasts advanced night vision that allows you to check on your little one without disturbing them.
The YI Home Camera has a modern aesthetic to its design and packs a punch with its features. One of those convenient features is two-way audio, allowing you to receive audio from the unit and talk back through it.
The YI security camera has a built-in advanced microphone and speaker for clear 2-way audio conversations. You can not only see and hear what’s happening at home, but also has a smooth conversation through the camera.
The application supports up to 12 devices.
This unit also features an enhanced digital noise reduction as well as advanced Baby Crying Detection. Its smart motion detection uses advanced motion computation algorithms to detect any movement.
- The Z9
The camera also features two-way audio to ensure that communication can be ket as well as individual activity alerts if motion or noise is detected. Cloud storage completes the offering for this excellent hardware.
We love the YI’s Home App intuitive interface design to help you make the most out of your camera. The app brings forth a convenient way to customize the camera’s settings such as sharing, activity alerts and schedules as per your preference.
The YI Home camera also has a hinge that connects it to its base and allows it to flip forwards and backwards. It is most easily mounted on any horizontal surface.

Quality wise, the material is pretty good; durable as well as portable. You can change its position anytime anywhere; if you want to keep looking in your kids room instead of the TV lounge, simply switch the places, this will not affect the video quality in any aspect nor you will experience any inconvenience

What experts didn't like

The camera only records for a very short time-frame after motion is detected, and it’s difficult/impossible to change this feature, even with a micro SD card. The app has ads to up-sell additional storage options which some customers weren’t happy with.
Storage sold separately (either memory card or cloud). Although sleek, it’s fairly noticeable and not easily missed.
NOT works with smart home devices
Requires a good internet connection, 1Mbps at least. Not suitable for outdoor uses.
It doesn’t come with any screws and so the recommended (and only) way to attach it to a vertical surface such as metal or glass is to use double sided sticky tape.
-
Night vision is little blurry.
