What experts liked
I love this aspect of the game because a parent can handle the relatively complex park navigation but their young child still has a chance to hug Mickey and the gang.

Graphically, this title is oozing with cartoon inspired art and definitely suits the genre perfectly and the flying segments are quite cool. Characters are well animated and there’s just enough of special effects and lighting to help creating a living breathing world.
- Impulse Gamer
Probably the best part is that Disneyland seems to be permanently in the off-season. There are plenty of families walking throughout the park (holding conversations that you can eavesdrop on), but the lines are short.

Unsurprisingly, it appealed – and still appeals – primarily to kids, allowing you to run around a (compact) virtual recreation of the park, interacting with Disney characters like Peter Pan, Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, and Goofy, performing little fetch quests for them and partaking in small events based on real attractions.
- God Is A Geek

The idea of introducing the controller is a brilliant one.

If you've been to Disneyland, you're sure to be impressed by the accuracy with which it has been re-created here.

There’s a healthy variety of attractions to choose from, and some of them even contain multiple chapters that play together to complete a story or mission.

Disneyland Adventure is a game, or should I say experience, that I would happily recommend for young kids and Disney Lovers.
- Xbox Addict

Well designed and captures that Disney vibe.
- Xbox Tavern

Each of the episodes does at least do a good job of looking and sounding like the property it’s from, even if it is more or less the same thing with a different skin, and there is a generous amount of content to explore if you can cope with the problems.
- The Sixth Axis

While the update to add controller support on Xbox (or keyboard support on PC) is a welcome addition.
- Cinema Blend
Characters are all fully voiced and sound perfect. Listening to Mickey Mouse will instantly fill you with a sense of wanting to go to Disneyland.
- Marooners' Rock
Very easy to play but to master them, earning all the pin badges and collecting all the secrets will take multiple plays and a degree of skill.

Disneyland Adventures does a phenomenal job in capturing this aspect and transforming all that there is to offer in the actual theme park into a video game. Thirty-five different Disney characters spread throughout the park each provide gamers with a multitude of quests to perform.
- Just Push Start
The attention to detail and accuracy is impressive considering the scale of the park.
- Pixel Rater
What experts didn't like
Loading times are excessive on Xbox One.
- Windows Central

Nonetheless, the exploration is fun but just be warned that things get very repetitive very early on.
- Impulse Gamer
Lots of running around
- God Is A Geek

Sadly, I have said goodbye to Disneyland and will be staying away from this not-so-magical adventure. I suggest you do the same.
- CGM

Unresponsive controls make many attractions frustrating
- GameSpot
December 14, 2011 | Full review
The sheer size and scope of the game, the variety of characters, and the different items that are obtained add enough interactivity to the park to keep little ones entertained.

With this in mind, you will notice that there are some frame stutters that do appear from time to time which you wouldn't really expect with an older-gen title with current-gen upgrades. It is more of an annoyance rather than something that completely messes up the overall gameplay though.
- Xbox Addict

Frame-rate issues, screen-tearing, parts of the environment not rendering correctly and characters remaining invisible for excessive amounts of time are chief faults.
- Xbox Tavern

Loss of motion controls actually makes some activities less fun
- The Sixth Axis
March 11, 2017 | Full review
First and foremost it needs to be pointed out that the game is designed for small children to play. There's no great challenge here for even the most casual gamer, at the same time, the challenge isn't the point.
- Cinema Blend
One of the bigger disappointments in the game is what happens when photos are taken. If you’re taking a photo with a character, they tell you to strike a pose.
- Marooners' Rock
So where do the faults lie within Disney Adventures? It suffers from a lot of lag, screen tearing and freezing. Areas of the game (such as Peter Pan’s location) would rarely fully load unless I stopped dead and waited a few seconds.
- GBHBL

- Just Push Start
