From The Manufacturer

Perform all of your small cutting tasks with this Wustof Classic paring knife. Made in Solingen, Germany, it was hand-forged in 38 manufacturing steps by skilled craftsmen. The high-carbon stainless steel blade is hardened to maintain a sharp edge, and its full tang provides perfect balance with a riveted, high-impact composition handle. Wusthof’s newest state of the art technology incorporates a new computer controlled method for putting the edge on Classic knives and allows for an exacting edge from the tip of the knife down to the heel. With this newer precision, the knives are made sharper to 14 degrees per side for a total of 28 degrees, doubling the sharpness retention. This knife is backed by a manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty and is the perfect addition to your cutlery collection.

Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

We still like its comfortable handle,
This was my first Wusthof knife and remains one of my favorites. It came from the factory beyond razor sharp and the edge retention remains amazing with careful use. I hand wash after every daily cutting session, use it only against wood or poly cutting boards, put the paper blade guard on when clean and not in immediate use, and/or nest it in the knife block when done for the day. With careful usage and care, I expect to not sharpen more than once a year -- I only occasionally hone the edge thus far. This Classic-line knife and the Ikon line are "lifetime knives", exceptional cutting instruments for people with high standards.
Professional chef-quality paring knife with impressive steel construction.

What reviewers didn't like

Our former upgrade pick, the Wüsthof Classic, is razor sharp out of the package, but loses its edge pretty quickly. We still like its comfortable handle, but unless you’re into sharpening your own knife frequently, it’s not as good as the MAC.
This should be labeled a butter knife. This knife does not cut anything. Waste of money, do not buy!
Significantly more expensice than other options.
