- Crystal's Cookware Hub
A notable quality of this particular set is that it is safe for the dishwasher and handwash depending on your preference. The marble coatings are scratch free so they can remain inviting through indefinite washings. For the price, the eight-piece set really is a steal. Compared to the other sets on our cookware buying guide, Vremi’s is the cheapest and you still get five pots and pans. On top of that, you can customize your order in a couple of different colors.

- Cookware Diary
The pots and pans in this range are made of a durable die-cast aluminum body that is layered with a non-stick ceramic interior. Ceramic is a loved kitchen product because it distributes heat evenly throughout the vessel and the non-stick qualities of this material s glorious for those that hate scrubbing. The heat resistant enamel exterior enhances kitchen safety and is bright in color.

- Two Kitchen Junkies
The Vremi set not only comes with two Dutch oven pots, it also comes with a casserole pot and two angled fry pans that are great for making omelets. The design of the fry pans allows for easing flipping and tossing of food. What experts didn't like
Then wooden handle become hot within 30 minutes or so and need to use Mitts or Wear protective gloves for handling. The nonstick coating isn’t excellent as it starts to stick after a year. The paint peels off easily after use of 6 months or so; the finish will be looking bad. Take good care of it.
- Healthy Ceramic Cookware
Lids are not clear view types. Not recommended for use in the oven as the handles and knobs are not designed for high heat and the beautiful accents may show cracking from heat stress. The handles can get hot when cooking over the stove elements. Always use pot holders or mitts to protect your hands.
- Crystal's Cookware Hub
Do NOT use in Oven or Microwave.
- The Kitchen Witches
Handles may become hot during use.
- The Cookware Geek
Not suitable to use in the oven. The performance on an induction cooktop is poor.
- Cookware Diary
Cannot be used in an oven due to ceramic and timber materials. Set isn’t suitable for medium to large families. Enamel is vulnerable to staining when used on other cooking sources such as gas. Specific utensils and kitchen tools need to be used to prevent damage to the nonstick surface.
- What The Whiz
Not oven safe.
- Cookware Ninja
The only real drawback for this set is that it is not oven-safe. Anything made in these pans must be done entirely on top of the stove
- Two Kitchen Junkies
No warranty. Not oven safe.

An Overview On Ceramic Nonstick Cookwares

It’s not just the food that we put in our bodies that makes a difference in our health. The tools we use to cook and prepare our food are also extremely important. The FDA performed studies on cookware that was coated with PFAS, or per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances. These studies showed that the chemicals had leached into the water supply in the areas of manufacturing and caused serious health issues. In an attempt to clean up the environment of these hazardous chemicals, avoid using cookware with these chemicals and search for alternatives. One such alternative is ceramic nonstick cookware. Let’s see what makes this cookware better.

Ceramic nonstick pots and pans are essentially metal pans under a coating of silicon. This silicon is composed of sand, thus the name ceramic, and is safe for use in cooking. Another aspect of the ceramic nonstick cookware is that it can handle higher temperatures than traditional nonstick pots and pans. The coating won’t break down until they are over 800 degrees and that is near impossible to reach in everyday cooking. You won’t have to worry about any coating leaching into your food.

Although the FDA has not investigated the manufacturing process of ceramic nonstick cookware, many companies are thorough with their safety standards. When you start the buying process, research the company and investigate its safety standards. If the company is reputable, it’s because their products are excellent and put through rigorous testing. It’s worth the time spent to make sure your cookware is safe.

Ceramic nonstick cookware can be bought either as individual pieces or as a set. If you are just starting out or replacing your Teflon cookware with a safer alternative, you will want a whole set. These are a few of the best ceramic nonstick cookware sets: Vremi Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set, 8-Piece, the Cuisinart Ceramica Cookware Set, 11-Piece, the GreenPan Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set, 11-Piece, and the Gotham Steel Nonstick Ceramic Cookware Set, 13-Piece. Otherwise, if you just want to try out ceramic nonstick cookware, maybe start with just an individual pan until you know you like cooking with them.

Be smart about what you are putting in your body, but also be diligent about your cookware. Turn to ceramic nonstick cookware if you need a nonstick option that is kinder to the environment. Be sure to do your research on the manufacturer and find a set that has all the pieces you’ll need in your kitchen.

DYWM Fun Fact

Nonstick coating was accidentally discovered by Roy Plunkett when he was trying to find an alternative to Freon in the refrigerant process. He was working for DuPont chemical company in 1938 when he froze and compressed tetrafluoroethylene (a gas in its normal state) and it turned into a white solid that was slippery. Once the properties were realized, it was applied to cookware and labeled as nonstick.

The Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Buying Guide

  • High heat will diminish the nonstick characteristics of ceramic cookware, especially when heating an empty pot or pan on a stove.
  • Do not use metal utensils or the ceramic coating will chip off.
  • Do not put ceramic nonstick cookware in the dishwasher as the cleaning chemicals and high heat can compromise the effectiveness of the nonstick coating.
  • Use mild dish soap and warm water to wash.
