Simple and easy to use with an analog dial. Built-in speaker can play stations at decent volume. Gets suprisingly good reception considering the low price.
This gadget comes with a headphones jack on the side for those road trips when you want to hear some good music or when someone is asleep in the same room. It has an on/off button, a telescoping antenna and a carrying strap.

It is a battery powered radio with AA batteries required. It has a simple switch between AM and FM and a scrollable dial to easily change stations. Whilst only being small, it is still able to produce a large sound with the speaker. This is a device that will be able to give you that authentic pleasure that listening to the radio can give you. Due to its size, it is highly portable and would be a great addition to a backpack or any type of adventure trip.
The AM dial is very busy at night. I found that it easily picks up AM stations that are four or five hundred miles away. I didn't notice any signal drift. Each time I use this radio, I'm sort of amazed at how well it tunes. I've had a lot of cheap second-hand pocket radios that had various tuning problems; this one tunes better than the whole lot of 'em.
The new Vondior actually outperformed it in FM reception due to improved selectivity.
What reviewers didn't like
The placement of the aerial means it can't stand up on a flat surface.
Its case is made of silver plastic, not metal, so it is lightweight but you should be careful not to drop it on hard surfaces.
The radio doesn't stand upright by itself; it tends to fall over. I set it flat on the desk and listen with headphones. I wouldn't say the battery door is flimsy, but it could be improved a bit. It can also be difficult to open.
It does have the finicky tuning behavior of many current models
