Calcium builds up easily on the heating element and definitely requires cleaning after a full tank's use.
Vicks V745 will make some noise as all humidifiers do. On the low setting, it is quiet. You will hear a low boiling noise. On the high setting, you will also hear a boiling noise but a bit noisier.
Gurgling noises.

The only cons are the fact that you’re paying a fair amount for functionality that you might not need, and the fact that the lack of filtration can lead to the build up of limescale if you have hard water
Some parents also worry that the menthol scent is too strong for little ones.
