Not only was Tide Free + Gentle cost effective, but it worked well on keeping Cadence’s skin from any allergic reactions and it was so good on price, I would even use it to wash my own clothes!

What reviewers didn't like

Multiple users had issues with pods not dissolving in washer.
Moderate Concern: respiratory effects, general systemic/organ effects; Some Concern: chronic aquatic toxicity, nervous system effects, skin irritation/allergies/damage

Just went to dermatologist on Monday after two weeks of awful, painful, itchy rash. He said it was "probably your dog." My dog is probably cleaner than he is. The only thing I did was change from liquid Tide Free and Gentle to Tide Pods Free and Gentle. Nothing "gentle" about it. I have trouble breathing at night while I am sleeping on the sheets washed with Pods. It is taking several washes to get the Pods out of everything: clothes, towels, sheets.
