Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Lies flat for easier airport security processing. Accommodates up to 17" laptop. Generous supply of external pockets for paperwork and electronics.
This pocket-loaded SwissGear backpack includes a laptop compartment that unzips from the rest of the bag to minimize hassle in airport security.
The main laptop compartment is easy to access and is separated from the additional iPad or tablet pocket. Both are fully padded and lined with scratch free, soft material to help avoid damage during transit.
Many others also mention how great it is for travel, citing the “TSA scan” feature that lets them “unzip” the laptop compartment so it scan through security machines without needing to be removed.
It has a detachable key ring in the outermost pocket, which some people look for.
Two breathable side compartments can accommodate an umbrella, oversized water bottle, or change of clothes
Furthermore, the laptop compartment can be accessed from the side if desired - meaning the entire bag does not have to be opened for access.

What reviewers didn't like

Padding adds weight and bulkiness. Straps and zippers have durability issues. Side-opening pocket for laptop not ideal for safe handling.
For a product which prides itself on its two trademarked features, it's surprising to see a lack of USB ports (although it does have a headphone socket).
