Durable enough to last for years, and a comfortable handle and design as well.
To add to your convenience with this tool, it is fitted with a non-slip rubber grip on the handle. This non-grip feature also doubles as an insulator so that the cold does not flow into your hands, thereby making you uncomfortable.
Designed to be used by both hands, the SUMO Ice Cream Scoop, with its non-slip rubberized grip enables you to get perfectly rounded scoops every time.
It is dishwasher safe, so you don’t have to worry about cleaning, and it cuts through hard ice cream with ease.
The Sumo is almost identical to the OXO Good Grips ice cream scoop except the handle is purple. We liked the OXO a little better because of the hole in the handle for hanging. It performed the same, and it’s also dishwasher safe.

I would only like it to be a little deeper and more round-shaped because this way it doesn’t make nice ice cream balls and ice cream tend to fall off the scoop too easily.
Since they're made with help from the warming core fluid, there’s no need for mechanical levers or scrapers. After a few scoops, both the OXO and Sumo need a gentle shake to release (although nothing too aggressive).
