What experts didn't like

Battery operated (not rechargeable)
Not as bright with diffuser on
-
The lamp relies on three D-cell alkaline batteries, but you have to get them separately.
High setting drains batteries fast.
At a push – it’s getting more expensive.
The opaleque lens can deter the vividness of the LED light.
Some say product is not big enough.
About the only complaints we have are its weight compared to other models (31 ounces) and the lowest setting is still a bit brighter than other model’s lowest setting.
The biggest downside to the Siege is that it uses D-cell batteries, which you probably don’t have lying around your house. You’ll probably also need to find some rechargeable batteries because those D-cells will only power the lantern for thirty hours
Short runtime
On the downside, the D-cell batteries need to be purchased separately. It’s also slightly bigger and heavier compared to a few other models on the list but considering it's excellent features the Streamlight is worth a consideration as the best camping lantern.
More expensive compared to other models
