Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

This rower has many advantages, but two which stand out are its price and size. Price-wise, the Body Trac Glider 1050 is affordable and offers quality at the same time, as it is guaranteed to offer the user a workout equally good as that delivered by machines twice its size. At the same time, the fact that this rower is smaller than most rowers isn’t a negative – on the contrary, it makes it easier to handle, transport and store without taking anything away from its performance. Overall, it’s a well-balanced and reliable piece of training equipment, more affordable than most and a handy size too.
Great value for money, Small and compact, Easy to assemble, Great for beginners, Adjustable tension controls.
The Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 is a budget hydraulic rower with some redeeming qualities. The adjustable resistance and sliding seat are features we don’t always see on hydraulic rowers, especially ones this affordable. The 250 lb weight capacity is pretty decent for such a compact machine and it does come with a short warranty backing it up. Overall, I think this rower is a pretty safe bet if you are looking for a budget rower that will fit well in small spaces.
It's reasonably quiet (definitely quieter than an air-resistant rower). A pretty solid steel frame. It's compact and easy to store away. Good for occasional use.

What reviewers didn't like

Its parts warranty lasts for only ninety days, which isn’t convenient in case your rower suffers damage or presents a problem early on.
Foot straps not secure and feet may slip out, Extremely fit people may need a more robust machine, Weight limit of only 250lbs.
The downfalls, including crappy footplates and uncomfortable seat, are common among most budget rowers.
The resistance drops after heavy use. The seat isn't very comfortable for longer workouts.
