Equipped with a dual stainless steel blade, the Spring Chef peeler is designed to stay sharp even after repeated use. It lends itself to smooth, effortless peeling. Most people are surprised at how easy it is to peel fruits and vegetables with this inventive tool.
Spring Chef Premium Swivel vegetable peeler is designed with comfortable handle and ultra-sharp blades which are very thick and sturdy, when most peelers come with flimsy blades. It is also easy to control and grip and clean up. The dual stainless steel blades won’t clog thanks to Smooth Glide Technology.
Performance wise, I had no problems with the Spring Chef Premium Swivel Vegetable Peeler. It took down potatoes with ease and although it hung up a little bit on celeriac’s weird shape, it still created consistent peels.
What experts didn't like
No everyone loves the chunky grip.
A word of caution when using the Spring Chef Premium Swivel Vegetable Peeler, it comes with a plastic covering that needs to be removed before it is used. Many customers thought that the product was not working properly and were about to throw it away until they realized that it had the plastic sheathing.
My main problem was its design. It has a rectangular, plastic handle with finger grips, which sounds like a good, ergonomic feature. The problem is that your hand has to fit perfectly for that to work – if your hands are bigger or smaller than average, it becomes awkward to hold.
