What experts liked
Premium organic cotton construction is ultra soft, breathable and non irritating. Center sling is engineered to draw the slides in, producing a cozy, hug like effect.
- BestReviews
The Snuggle Me lounger is made of GOTS certified organic materials and filled with virgin polyester fiber which makes it an ideal hypoallergenic co-sleeper for your bundle of joy.
- We The Parents
The unique design of the Snuggle Me Organic means that it can truly hold your baby on all sides. It has a sling in the middle, and once you lay baby on the sling, it causes the sides to come up and around baby. It’s like padded arms hugging your baby. And it really does give a deep, padded little nest that feels as close to mom or dad’s arms as possible. This is a great solution for those babies who simply refuse to be laid down on a flat mattress to sleep alone.
Because of the snuggling effect of the Snuggle Me™, infants feel secure and are more open to tummy time practice. It also keeps baby’s back properly positioned for healthy back posture.
- Healthy Fit Fab Moms
With the size of the lounger, you can fit it comfortably in the Halo Bassinet bedside sleeper. Although, it’s still recommended that you keep a close eye on your baby while on the lounger regardless as the walls are not nearly as high as crib bumpers.
- The Baby Swag
The unpadded center of the Snuggle Me takes on the firmness of the surface it is placed on while the sides offer a cozy envelope. While snuggled inside, babies get that womb-like feeling and perhaps best of all, the Snuggle Me can help deter premature waking. Yay for longer nap times!
- Baby Gizmo
The Snuggle Me Organic is created in the USA using GOTS accredited organic fabrics and full of a virgin polyester fiber fill. It’s award winning, which is a leading option by mamas and practitioners for over 10 years
- Children for Children
Snuggle Me Co-sleeping Infant Bed features a lightweight design – making it easy to move around and use for napping, tummy time, and diaper change. This lounger also comes with a removable organic cotton cover.
- The Alpha Parent
The cover is made of GOTS-certified fabrics, and it’s filled with virgin polyester filling to help your baby stay warm and snug. When needed, you can remove the cover to clean it.
- Mom Loves Best
The Snuggle Me Original is purely made out of cotton. The other reason was that you never know if the baby will be born with any conditions. I remember my mother telling me how hyper-sensitive I was as an infant. So we talked it over with my wife, and she agreed that the best co-sleeper gift, would be one which had a fiberfill which was hypoallergenic.
- The 10 Pro
The Snuggle Me lounger and and the easily removable cover are both machine washable, on gentle cycle and low heat. You can continue to use the lounger while you are washing the cover, which is a huge perk for me! (Ahem, diaper blow outs, spit up, etc etc.)
- Parental Guidance Guide
Some parents find that the Snuggle Me Organic offers a suitable surrogate for their loving arms and can calm even the most demanding of infants. Finally, your hands can be free again.
- Wiki EZ Vid
The design is made to pull in so that it hugs your baby. This hugging sensation calms your baby and, with its tight fit, helps wedge him or her into place.
- Our Start
This sort of baby lounger is constructed with a long term of materials which are really good quality as well.
- Top 7 Pro
It’s very lightweight at around 3 lbs so it’s very portable and easy to transfer to any bed or surface.
- Baby Dot Dot
The snuggle me is designed to hug your baby keeping them supported. It’s firm enough to be comfortable for your baby but not hard as a rock. Since it’s a pillow, it has no built-in hard surfaces.
- Peaceful Little Sleepers
With the SnuggleMe Organic design, there is no way that she could ever turn her face enough so she would not have a clear pathway to breathe. I have also noticed that she outgrew her need for her arms to be swaddled extremely quickly and does not startle easily while sleeping in the lounger, despite all the background noise from my toddler.
- The Wool Life
It’s easy to clean, hypoallergenic, and I feel SAFE using it. And Austin likes it too! He’s super content every time I place him in it, which is always a good thing!
- Lauren McBride Blog
Easy to clean (just throw the whole thing in the wash and tumble dry on cool or low)
- Mom's Baby Hub
Patented center sling design gives the sensation of being held when baby is placed in it.
- The Baby Reviews
Its easy to change-and-wash cover was loved by many parents has it helped maintain a hygienic environment for the baby.
- Best Fashion Nova
Smart, patented design to hug your baby.
- Baby Gear Sphere
This cushion is safe. If a company is marketing a co-sleeping cushion for night sleeping, it needs to be safe. That was one of the biggest factors for me getting a bed sharing cushion. When I first opened the package I was shocked at how cushy the cushion looked (can I put those words together?). When I say cushy I mean it looked like if Tava turned her face to the side it would be right against her face. I knew, because of my research and taking with the owner of the company, that it was safe.
- Just Enjoy Health
Made with 100% organic cotton.
- Mommy's Picks
The Snuggle Me Organic is a durable, hand-crafted baby lounger made from natural material. It’s made from 100% organic cotton. This eliminates your baby’s exposure to toxic pesticides that are in regular cotton.
- WalletPath
The website advises parents to give the baby a blanket to sleep with in the product. For multiple safety reasons, including suffocation and overheating, babies under 1 year should not sleep with a blanket.
- Kids in Danger
We instantly fell in love with the softness, the ease it brought to washing and keeping it clean; but most importantly the sense of security and calmness it brought to her while she laid snuggled inside. It is something that is also so easy to travel with.
- Sweet Stella's
The lounger comes up with an exclusive design that when you lay your baby on the center –sling, naturally it pull your baby in like a hug.
- Smily Parents
The unique design of the Snuggle Me is the center sling within the outer shape. The center sling is slightly raised and not padded. This makes such a difference! When baby is set in the Snuggle Me, the Snuggle Me gently hugs and cradles baby. This gives baby the security of the womb and is similar to being held.
- All About Baby's World
From the moment I laid my baby down in the Snuggle Me it was clear she felt secure. I’m confident its continued use in our household was beneficial in creating the sleep routine that has had my daughter sleeping through the night since 10 weeks.
- Motherly
This co-sleeper is certified pollution free as it is made of 100% GOTS-certified cotton by Control Union (SKAL) and also it is OEKO-TEX standard 100 Certified. So, if you are eco-friendly minded and want to keep your baby safe from harmful substances, this really is the perfect solution for you.
- Baby Products Zone
Not only is this product safe, but it is easy to clean and easy to transport as it comes with an easy to use travel bag.
- The Stork List
This design pulls together to hug your kid. Not even wearables like clothes hug you. This technology has impressed many parents.
- 10 Baby Gear
What experts didn't like
Pricey. The cover could do with a tighter fit.
- BestReviews
Extra care may be needed when washing/drying.
- We The Parents
One thing I will say about this pillow as a co-sleeper is that it takes up a considerable portion of the bed. It measures about 27 inches by 14 inches. Considering that the average queen-sized bed is only 60 inches wide, it means that each person in the bed will have less than 2 feet of width to sleep on. If you like to spread out while you sleep, this could be a problem.
Since the fabric is soft and not very breathable, your baby may get a little overheated while laying in the Snuggle Me for long periods of time.
- The Baby Swag
A few parents said the cover doesn’t fit as tightly as they would like.
- Mom Loves Best
Doesn't hide stains well.
- Wiki EZ Vid
For some people, the price may be too high.
- Our Start
However, it can only be used from newborn until 6 months. Some babies grow pretty fast and can outgrow this co-sleeper in a short period of time.
- Baby Dot Dot
The Snuggle Me Organic is an expensive baby lounger. It’s not as expensive as the Dockatot Deluxe but it’s still probably one of the most expensive pillows you could buy.
- Peaceful Little Sleepers
The cover provided is a little oversize (so it seems slightly sloppy and too big for the product)
- Mom's Baby Hub
It is expensive.
- The Baby Reviews
A couple of buyers complained that this lounger retains heat during hot climate which caused the baby discomfort and sweat.
- Best Fashion Nova
Too small for old babies.
- Baby Gear Sphere
It was a little smaller than I thought it was going to be. I was worried she would grow out of it really quickly.
- Just Enjoy Health
High price tag.
- Smily Parents
It’s expensive.
- Motherly
A bit expensive considering other co-sleepers.
- Baby Products Zone
The one caveat is that it is rather small and only works on babies 0-6 months.
- The Stork List
It is relatively expensive.

An Overview On Baby Pillow/Loungers

Parents can’t hold their infants all day long or they’d never get anything done around the house. Baby pillows and loungers are the perfect solution to this dilemma, as they are designed to cuddle your baby while you attend to your chores. As you browse different pillow and lounger models, you’ll want to look for the following traits:

Choose a pillow made from organic cotton. Not only is this material hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin, but it’s also eco-friendly and free from any dyes or bleach. Of course, cotton is also known for being soft and breathable.

Simplemost Media

Consider the material used to make the lounger’s filling. The DockATot All in One Baby Lounger has a filling with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It’s fabrics also resist heat retention, which means your baby will remain cool and comfortable throughout his or her time in the pillow.

Feel the baby lounger and make sure it’s light in weight. Ideally, you want it to be three pounds or less so that it can easily be moved from one room to another while you clean. It’s also helpful if the unit has a set of handles, like the Boppy Original Newborn Lounger, Elephant Love Gray, as this makes transport a breeze.

Simplemost Media

Review how the lounger is able to cradle your newborn. Does it have a center depression that is surrounded by cushioned sides that act as a nest, or does it have a center sling, like the Snuggle Me Organic Sensory Lounger for Baby, which draws close to your baby when you set him or her in the lounger? The important thing is that your baby feels safe and secure while relaxing in the pillow.

Check to make sure the model you’re interested in is able to meet any specific needs your baby might have. Some loungers come at a slight incline to help with acid reflux, while others are designed for healthy back posture. You’ll even find models made to help prevent flat head syndrome.

Opt for a baby lounger that is versatile and able to grow with your child. There are pillows that can be used for tummy time, as well as diaper changes. Some also have buckles or buttons by the feet that can be opened as your baby grows.

Simplemost Media

Lastly, review the baby lounger’s available colors and patterns. You may find one that matches the theme in your baby’s nursery. You may also opt for a pillow that comes in the shape of a cute animal. The JOHN N TREE Organic Baby Protective Pillow, for example, comes in elephant, lamb, monkey, puppy and bunny shapes.

DYWM Fun Fact

The first patented baby pillow was created by Tien-Hsi Han in 1998. Han designed the baby pillow to do several things. First, he wanted a pillow that kept the baby from turning its head to the side during sleep. He noted that babies have soft skulls that are malleable when left in the same position for a long period of time. The pillow would prevent the head from becoming disfigured during long stretches of sleep.

The second part of Han’s design was the cotton side walls that kept outside noises from reaching the baby’s ears. This would allow the baby to continue resting without being disturbed, which was also great for parents who needed to get a few chores done around the house.

While the original design had components that had to be folded, like the two sides, before the baby pillow could be used, newer designs don’t require this. Most modern baby pillows and loungers are now made ready to use without the need for any modifications. Newer models have also been adjusted to account for additional health issues that are common among infants, such as acid reflux and flat head syndrome.

The Baby Pillow/Lounger Buying Guide

  • Look for any extra awards, like the Mom’s Choice Award, or special certifications, such as the International Certification Control Union and the National Organic Standards Board. You may also find the company offers a customer satisfaction guarantee. These are all just further indications that the baby pillow is quality made and that the company stands behind its products.
  • Review the baby lounger’s care instruction label before attempting to clean it. You’ll find some loungers are easy to spot clean, while others require a full wash. You may be able to remove a cover and simply wash that, or you may need to toss the entire pillow into the washing machine. Some companies recommend placing the pillow in a laundry bag first, while others require you to wash the pillow as-is using the washing machine’s gentle cycle. When it comes to drying the lounger, the instructions may list the ability to use the dryer on low heat or they may suggest avoiding the heat from the dryer and allowing the pillow to air dry naturally.
  • When using a baby lounger, it is important that you always supervise your baby.
  • Always place your baby on his or her back during nap and sleep times, as this is the recommended position for reducing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). You’ll also want to reserve sleep times for a crib that meets the standards set by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  • Never use a traditional pillow with a baby under the age of 18 months. This poses a risk of suffocation.
  • You’ll find one of the main differences in baby pillow prices is the ability of the pillow to grow with your baby. The Boppy Original Newborn Lounger, Elephant Love Gray and the JOHN N TREE Organic Baby Protective Pillow are on the lower end of the pricing scale, as they cater to newborns and infants of up to three months only. The Snuggle Me Organic Sensory Lounger for Baby and the DockATot All in One Baby Lounger command a higher price because they can be used from infancy all the way to nine months of age.
