Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

The suction produced is powerful enough to remove stuck dirt, even the debris that’s set deep within the dense fibers of carpets. The ability of the ION F80 to pick up dirt doesn’t mainly depend on the airflow, though. Instead, it’s the design of the brush roll that makes this vacuum such an effective cleaner.
It’s better at cleaning upholstery and picking up big crumbs off bare floors, and has a longer warranty. The battery pack is also removable and charges in a separate dock, which could help the IonFlex DuoClean have a longer life span than the V7.
This vacuum is highly adaptable, and it will make those daily cleanups quicker and easier. It has many practical features at a reasonable price.
The vacuum easily transforms to handheld vacuum. Its flexible reach technology gives you the ability to bend the wand to easily clean hard-to-reach areas like under furniture, while its duo clean technology, which features two brush rolls, tackles fine dust and large debris on both carpets and hard floors.

What reviewers didn't like

It is difficult to move over carpets as the brush roll tends to pull the unit forward but which can be eliminated by using a lower suction power and the hand-vac feels somewhat bulky and tiresome to use. Lacks HEPA filtration.
Only 1 charging cord for 2 batteries and short battery life.
It’s noticeably heavier and louder than the Dyson V7 Motorhead. It’s not quite as strong of a carpet cleaner, either, and the battery lasts for only 20 minutes.
The dirt cup is quite small, and the filter is not up to HEPA standards. The weight distribution could be better, and you may need to buy some additional tools in addition to purchasing replacement filters.
It is expensive and heavier than most cordless stick vacuums.
