Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

The Sealy is the lightest mattress we tested, at just over 8 pounds, which makes changing sheets easy.
Although my son did not like it, I was impressed with the way it fit in the crib and how easy it was to clean.
There are a lot of positives with this mattress, not the least of which is the relatively low price.
From its waterproof surface to its high-density soybean foam-core, this may be the mattress that you have been looking for all along.

What reviewers didn't like

However, it lacks our pick’s two-sided design, so this is better suited for babies than for bigger kids.
In all honesty, I would recommend it as a cheaper alternative to a dual sided crib mattress, but not as something to be carried on throughout years and the transitions from newborn to toddler.
In reading the label, they state that the soy core is a polyurethane foam; so that suggests a little bit of soybean is being used in making the foam, perhaps just enough to be able to accurately claim that in the marketing materials.
While it is great for an infant, since it is not dual, it may be too firm for a toddler.
