Heating element spreads heat evenly throughout.
The Ronco FD1005WHGEN distributes convention air flow through the heating coils and will maintain internal temperatures not exceeding 133 degrees Fahrenheit. The fairly-silent dehydrator measures 13 x 13 x 12-1/2 inches and will s fit in most places.
Perfect for fruits and vegetables, Ronco offers a very affordable machine that’s great for on-the-go snacks.
The circular design can accommodate between two to five trays, all are BPA-free plastic and safe for use in the top rack of your dishwasher.
What reviewers didn't like
Won't accommodate additional trays. Difficult to clean. No timer or thermostat. Trays have been known to melt.
One of its downsides is the possibility of the element getting a bit too hot and melting the trays.
The power cord is short, maybe 2 foot in length or less, so you’ll need to place this unit very close to a power outlet when using it.
There is no fan and only one temperature, it will take a lot longer to dehydrate your food.
