What experts liked

The main advantage of this unit is its size. It’s significantly smaller than other units in this category meaning it’s a great solution for people who have limited space. On top of that, it’s also quite easy to store it when not in use.
The price of the Rikon 10-305 bandsaw is what we like the most. It is competitively priced and offers a lot of value for money.
One key piece of information we uncovered in our Rikon 10-305 review is the fact the machine is quiet. Yes, you will be able to hear it run, but we found it was considerably quieter than similar models of this size. That’s a bonus, and we think the motor will prove more than adequate for most.
One great thing about this model is that it comes with an oversized cast iron table and steel frame. At this price point, you typically expect plastic construction, so you’re getting good value there.
What I really like about it is the fairly spacious work surface. It’s made of cast iron and gives you plenty of room with its 13 ¾” x 12 ½” surface. I’ve seen several bandsaws that compare in size, but none of them had this big of a work surface.

More importantly, unlike some other – less expensive – bandsaws, the Rikon 10-305 does not shake and vibrate violently when you’re using it. This is a big pro as that can otherwise be quite an unsettling feeling – you are working with a very sharp saw going very fast after all! This is thanks to the body being made from steel, which is definitely an upgrade over the plastic that you’ll find in many competing products.
The cast iron table is a big selling point here. It just has that industrial, heavy-duty feel that gives you peace of mind knowing that it can keep things stable, and allow for quick and easy adjustments whenever needed, Definitely feels like a full-sized model.
But it has an easy-to-use knob that lets you quickly adjust blade tension for best results.
The frame and components are made from steel and cast iron, so the entire band saw is very durable and resistant to the damages.
Another stunning feature of the Rikon 10-305 is the fact that it is super-quiet. Well, of course, you will hear the machine run – but it has an odd silence about it that you may have never noticed in other bandsaws – machines that have the same size.
On the plus side, and to somewhat make up for it, the Rikon 10-305 Bandsaw comes with very handy dandy working accessories. You not only get a rip fence, but you furthermore receive a miter gauge with purchase.

This model is another one that is very popular from all of the band saws that are on the market right now. Reasoning behind this is because of its larger size, the higher but still affordable price and more such as the list of amazing features and aspects that it has to offer in comparison to the other models of band saws that are out there right now.
It runs quiet, smooth and steady without vibration. The stainless steel design makes it durable for long years.
The best part is that even the access doors are made of steel to increase the durability.

What experts didn't like

However, it does offer less power and versatility in comparison to those, but it’s also significantly cheaper.
Motor is only rated at 4.5-Amp and delivers 1/3 HP.
The Rikon 10-305 doesn’t come with many extras so there’s no work light and you won’t get a miter gauge, only the fence.
It also comes with an undersized dust port, which may result in you having to do more cleanup than you’d like.
The only downfall I can see is when I get skilled enough in the future to tackle a larger project and won’t have enough power to get it done.

There are a few things that are notable in their absence here though. For one, there is no option to tilt the table, thus meaning no bevel cuts and there’s no miter gauge either.
Also, the lack of a stand was a little off-putting to me. This saw should absolutely come with one considering the way it’s been designed.
On the downside, the Rikon’s motor only offers one speed: 2780rpm.
The place where it does happen to fail is in the drums, or wheels, of this bandsaw. There is something about it that isn’t right.

Just be careful if you try to move it around because it weighs almost seventy four pounds, the high weight makes it not easy to move around so when you get it set it up where you want to work at all times and get started.
Rikon 10’’ unit has a little heavier weight (76 lbs.) this is a bit hard if you need to maneuver it more often.
The table slightly vibrates when cutting wood
