Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Best button setup of any gaming mouse on the market. Easy to program settings and buttons. Controls can be quickly remapped to user preference. Software easy to use. Ergonomic shape fits hand well, and textured surface ensures grip.
The PERDITION comes with 5 fully customizable “onboard profiles.” For each profile, you can program your buttons, set your DPI, pick specific color schemes, and much more. There’s a physical button located at the base of the mouse that allows rapid profile switching, in game or otherwise. Redragon does provide users with its own spin on customization software, and the program is (surprisingly) not utter trash. It’s not nearly as intuitive or functional as Razer’s Synapse software, but it’s still easy to set up, easy to navigate, and it gets the job done at the end of the day.
During my tests, I have not encountered any of the issues laser sensors are notorious for. The mouse offers the stunning 16,400 DPI, 1000Hz polling rate and comes with 30G acceleration. You can switch between five DPI presets on-the-fly. The bottom of the mouse is equipped with durable Teflon pads, which ensures smooth tracking on most surfaces, not to mention it prevents the wear and tear that inevitably occurs after years of usage.
The form of this mouse allows you to work in different genres. There are 19 programmable buttons on board, and this is a complete freedom for any MMO. A huge number of programmable binds allow you to completely abandon the keyboard. It has full weight tuning - 8 weights for 2.4 grams. And the most interesting thing can be seen in the name – 16400 DPI.
Its performance is quite a few weight classes above its price range and not just a good budget mouse but also one of the best MMO mice on the market. It comes with 18 programmable buttons including 12 MMO programmable side buttons. Which is rather easily programmable but the mouse still provides a perfect plug-and-play experience.
The Redragon M901 Perdition is a budget-oriented choice for users who don't want to sacrifice extra features. Twelve of its 18 buttons are located on the side of the unit, perfect for mapping to the shortcut bar in your favorite MMO.
Redragon Perdition has a very wide DPI range of 16400 max. I must admit that I’ve not seen a DPI rate this high even in many high-tech shiny gaming mice. For a gaming mice under $40 this kind of a high DPI is actually a blessing from elder gods of gaming peripherals!

What reviewers didn't like

Left and right clicking and scroll whell are tight and take effort to press and scroll rapidly. Lasts only a year or two for most gamers. Bulkier than other gaming mice. Compatible with Windows only.
It takes some time to get used to the 12-button grid.
This mouse may be twice more expensive than others.
The only minus about it’s tracking capacity I can find is that the DPI levels are pre-determined and stable. In some gaming mice like Razer Naga you can set your own desired DPI in a given range and set different DPI levels via it’s own software Razer Synapse.
