What experts liked

RDR2 is a visual tour de force. The character models are excellent, the game's lighting and shadows are superb, and the snow and mud tessellation are the best I've seen in a game to date.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. Bar the tiniest of stutters, the graphical presentation is jaw-droppingly amazing. The Wild West has never looked so Wild nor, er, Westier.

A ludicrous and lovely number of side distractions

The coda reminds me of a trend that has benefited other open-world games through expansions — a smaller, more straightforward tale that makes use of this big, expensive world without having to justify every inch of its existence.

No matter where you look, everything feels meticulously handcrafted. Every consumable is labelled and can be picked up and inspected. Every catalogue in stores is full of custom text and illustrations pointing to products available for sale or old timey advertisements.

Everyone has a story to tell and each character (from top to bottom) is well written and acted. It’s rare that a side quest feels like it was given as much attention as an essential story mission but Red Dead 2 gives every story its own purpose.
- Game Rant
The many stories that Rockstar’s writers have set out to tell about this group of outlaws land perfectly, the enjoyable twists and turns of individual missions and chapters feeding into an exciting, sophisticated and absorbing larger narrative – and the stories that you discover yourself within its world are no less compelling.
- The Guardian
Such revelry is responsible for Red Dead Redemption 2's standout mission, a night on the tiles that shows how Rockstar's narrative skills have taken an unlikely yet highly welcome influence; it's the first use of in-game jump cuts I can recall since Blendo Games' 30 Flights of Loving, and when matched with Rockstar's own bawdy style and lavish production it's every bit as effective as you hoped it would be.

RDR2 is undeniably an amazingly detailed and expertly crafted game, but it’s hard not to wonder if a game of this scale can even be made in a way that doesn’t harm its creators

Red Dead Redemption 2 is among the most ambitious open-world games ever produced, packing an extraordinary amount of content into an equally enormous world.

What experts didn't like

There are also small control issues that I had gripes with, though I did manage to adjust to their quirks as the game went on. Arthur maneuvers with all the grace and finesse of a tank, for example, so every step, twist, and turn you input feels sluggish. His movement looks fantastic and incredibly natural in-game, but feels stiff in execution.

Its pace can feel very slow for those reared on action-centric titles

For large parts of the game, there’s no fast-travel, which is bound to rub time-poor people up the wrong way. The first act is also downright slow, especially placed next to GTA 5’s barnburner opening.

the pillars propping up the simulation can’t be seen, but sometimes — for clarity — the designers opt for standard video game iconography.

Red Dead Redemption 2 struggles to find a place for you as it tells its own story; the main missions stick too rigidly to the aging template of heading out to a point while characters chat amongst themselves, and when you get there, too often all you're allowed to do is perform a handful of quick-time events and engage in the inevitable shootout.
- Euro Gamer
The game is less successful when it comes to its treatment of women. While there are plenty of female characters in the group, aside from one woman — who only becomes an actual gunslinging badass more than halfway through the game — they’re mostly relegated to side roles, like mothers, lovers, and caregivers.

An Overview On Playstation Games

PlayStation games are constantly evolving, drawing larger crowds and critics with each new product. How do you know which one is going to be the best? Let’s take a look at some of the best components of PlayStation, and then hear what the consumers have to say.

Sony is the developer and producer of Playstation, a video gaming console. The original was born in 1994, Playstation 2 arrived in 2000 and Playstation 3 hit the shelves in 2006. The appeal of the original was a faster, clearer and visually-enhanced experience. With the second version, the progression of processing power was greatly advanced, and the model offered USB ports, as well as a modem that gave players access to online gaming. PS3 was a result of competition with Xbox and Wii, and it certainly stepped up the game. With a cell processor, ethernet port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, extra storage and web browser among other features, PS3 was ready for online gaming at its best. The latest model, Playstation 4, tops them all with access to a personal network account, tournaments and communities, live streaming, share play features and a social group chat area.

Each progression has brought countless games to consumers. Consumers will find old favorites that have been revised and enhanced for PlayStation 4. The old games have been updated with better graphics and more features for players. “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey” is one such game. “Assassin’s Creed” has been around for quite a while and has engrossed countless players with beautiful scenery that imitates the ancient Greek countryside. Players will feel completely immersed with outstanding graphics and reactionary worlds within the game. Find the best of old and new in this fan-favorite.

For an action-packed gaming experience, there are few choices that consumers recommend. “Marvel’s Spider-Man” offers an out-of-this-world, superhero game. Although the superheroes feel a bit worn out, this game brings a refreshing model of interaction that truly captivates the player. Another edge-of-your-seat game is “Red Dead Redemption 2.” This game is set in the country-western style of America. Cowboys battle over land and property in epic saloon gunfights and stand-offs. These two will give you the action battles you want from a good console game.

If you are crazy about post-apocalyptic worlds and their imagined creatures, then “Horizon Zero Dawn” is the game for you. With robotic animals and creative weapons, you’ll find yourself transported to another world in this captivating game of good versus evil.

Don’t limit yourself to just one genre, give them all a try. When friends come over for a fun game night, you’ll have options for everyone’s taste, and you are sure to enjoy all these top picks.
