Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

They’re comfortable and easy to use while you’re moving, and they’re resistant to sweat, rain, and dust.
The BackBeat Fit 2100s are rated at IP57, which means that they’re protected against immersion in liquids up to one meter.

Plantronics has made them more durable, with iP57-rated water resistance (they're apparently sweatproof and waterproof). It's also improved the way you control the headphones.
-
It's as comfortable and stable in your ears, and also has an unsealed design for outdoor use and awareness of your surrounding.

What reviewers didn't like

If you run with a scarf in cold weather or have a high collar on your jacket, the thick, rubberized cable that connects the earbuds may occasionally brush against it, but we never felt as though the earbuds were tugging or at risk of falling out.
Part of this is attributable to the fact that the BackBeat Fit 2100s don’t have any noise-canceling properties.

These really aren't the greatest sounding headphones -- they don't have much bass and don't deliver the cleanest, clearest sound. They also aren't suited to noisy environments because they let too much sound in.
